People do not avoid asking about their health because they lack curiosity. They avoid it because asking has a cost. The neighbour who works at the clinic. The colleague who might overhear. The search history that follows you around in adverts for weeks.
So we removed the cost. On NovCovek you are an alias and a colour. That is all anyone ever sees, including the doctors and specialists who answer you. Your email exists for one reason: so your progress survives when you change phones.
This changes what people are willing to say. Someone who would never book an appointment for a drinking problem will describe it honestly to a room that cannot see their face. Someone embarrassed by a symptom will type it out at two in the morning under a name they invented.
The specialists work the other way around. They answer under their full real names, with their credentials visible. Asymmetry on purpose: you know exactly who is talking to you, and they know nothing about who you are.
That is the whole trade. We think it is the right one.
