One month smoke-free, my loop journal from Day 3 did it

The loop journal seemed too simple. Trigger: coffee. Routine: cigarette. Reward: 5 minutes alone outside. Turns out I didn't want cigarettes, I wanted the 5 minutes alone outside. Now I just... go outside. With the coffee. One month today.

Six hours a night in games and I can't find the off switch

It's not even fun anymore, it's just where my evenings go. I don't want to delete everything and become a monk. I want to play two hours and live the other four. Has anyone actually found the middle path here?

90 days. Here's my honest report from the other side.

The first two weeks: hard. Weeks 3-5: strangely emotional, cried at a commercial about bread. Weeks 6-9: energy I haven't had since my twenties. Days 60-90: this is just my life now. Sleep is different, mornings are different, my daughter noticed before my wife did. Ask me anything.
